(Johannesburg) –The Malawi government showed strong support for victims of international crimes by deciding not to be the host of the African Union (AU) summit if President Omar al-Bashir of Sudan is allowed to attend, African civil society organizations and international organizations with a presence in Africa said today.
(New York) – Members of the United Nations Security Council should use the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor’s briefing on his Darfur investigation on December 9, 2010, to send a strong message to Sudan to cooperate with the court, Human Rights Watch said today.

(New York) – Sudan has failed to act on recommendations made a year ago by the African Union High-Level Panel on Darfur, Human Rights Watch said in a briefing paper released today.
One year ago, on October 29, 2009, the African Union (AU) endorsed the important report and recommendations of the African Union High-Level Panel on Darfur (AUPD), led by former South African President Thabo Mbeki.
