Human Rights Day falls on Friday, Dec. 10, 2010. Human Rights Day marks the anniversary of the United Nations adopting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. This declaration helped and continues to help focus and intensify efforts to confront human rights violations and protect the rights of every person.
